books from fall :

speaking of fall, here are some books that remind me of the happier days when i would go to Fresh Market after school, watch Oprah and then read that night. (unless my mom was reading to me) Most of these book I read when i was in like 5th grade. Sadly, I probably read more when I was younger than i do now....now I have to worry about getting good grades and shizz. Whatevs. Here they are :
My mom read this to me probably twice a year.

This book is honestly a classic in my book (HA was that a pun?) My dad read it to me every Halloween and it was so inspirational. There is one dog who is a weiner dog and he dresses up as a hotdog for Halloween and all the other dogs make fun of him because he is oddly shaped or whatever. Anyway Oscar? (that may have actually been his name?) is lonely because he has no friends and no one to trick-or-treat with on Halloween :( Anyway, all the neighborhood cats decide to scare the other dogs and they all get so scared that they jump into the water and they all suck at swiming (I think this is how the story went) anywayy Oscar has a great raft shaped body/costume so he jumps in and saves all the dogs and then at the end they all share their Halloween candy and everyone sings Coom by ya ? ! Great Book.

No lie, I read these and the Goosebumps books religiously!

This is another one of those AMAZING books that I have probably read 200 times. Its about a pig who lives in a city but has always dreamed of going west. So he goes to Arizona and meets a horse who he decides to become friends with, they become besties and do pretty much everything together. It is suchhh a cute story and the drawings are AMAZING! It is also based on a true story..well kinda...the horse and pig actually exist I don't know if they line dance together in Real Life but its nice to think so.

My dad has tons of these types of books and oodly I like them. I feel so smart when I read them. And have you ever noticed that after you learn a new word you start hearing/noticing it all the time...like in movies, real life, books... it's legit crazy.

my birthday is soon..fall sort of allready started....my grocery store is gone...Oprah left me ....life is over

allright so today I realized this is the last Monday of me being 15....I don't even know if that made sense...I also realized that fall has pretty much all ready started....
 1) I really don't want to be 16. I wish I was turning 14 or 15 or something. ehh.
 2) Fall better not suck this year.
~Now that one of my favorite cute little small homey grocery stores moved to a new location (not next to the used book store where it used to be!!!!) and not close to my school I hate it. The new one is to big and looks like wall mart. (exaggeration) The new one does not have the homey feel, the candy section, the free sugar cookies, the pumpkins, or the spice isle (which smelled amazing and looked like bags of drugs)! The new one is not next to the used bookstore, The Lemon Twist, The Coffee Shop, or Kinks Quirks and Caffeine! So basically the new one is ruining my after school fall/autumn vibes. I used to be able to walk there after school. My family went there ever Thanksgiving/Christmas together to buy turkey, pumpkin pie, and pretty much everything else. In front of the old Fresh market lived a man in a trailer who set up rows of Christmas trees every year. We bought our Christmas tree from that man every year after we got our food from Fresh Market. Even though the grocery store was small it was special. (yes... I am still talking about a grocery store..) I remember waiting in looong lines for pumpkin pie (that stuff went like hott cakes....or well like pumpkin pie I guess?) and it was nearly impossible to leave the grocery store without seeing people you knew. Teachers, neighbors, people you knew but didn't actually know and family (small town here...). Anywayyy, in conclusion I wish the store would have stayed small and stuck with it's loyal customers. bleh.
~ Another reason fall might suck this year: OPRAH IS GONE! Every day after school I would come home and count on the fact that from 4 to 5 I didn't have to worry about homework or really anything. No matter who or what was on the episode it was always intersting. It is so weird coming home from school and not asking my mom "Whats on Oprah today?". So yeah...Oprah left me to...cool.....

welcome back dance

so last night was our schools welcome back dance. We were lectured beforehand about "suggestive dancing" and how it was only appropriate to dance "front to front" which ended up being waay worse....I don't know how the teachers didn't figure that one out before. Anyway before the dance most of our grade went to an Italian restaurant called Carabas.. to eat...obviously. It was pretty cool...the spaghetti was hella good. The freshmen at our school were in charged of the dance and it actually looked pretty good. The theme was a 'black out' and there were neon balloons, streamers, strobe lights and black lights. I was pretty surprised at the amount of people there...it was definitely more people than the usual. The music was pretty decent....no random country songs. Teachers were breaking kids up who were dancing "inappropriately" but others were dancing and taking pictures with us....goes to show private schools aren't too crazy. I turned my iso down on my camera so it took longer for it to gather light...I got some pretty sweet pictures. After the dance me, olivia, shelton, dia, and kara all went with my dad to Harris teeter and bought some gummy bears and food and shit. it was a pretty cool night and the neon looking pictures make it look waaay cooler then it was. which is cool.
Me and Olivia.

                                                       Dia, Hollis, & Shelton.

Me, Olivia and Dia.... I dont know why the quality on these is so bad....they don't look this bad on my camera or on facebook...wtf
the pictures make it look like we were at some awesome rave....

Pizza Sweatshirts are not weird... . . .

Okayy so today I showed my friends this kick ass sweatshirt and they all thought it was really weird and gross. . . . I want it so badly and I am completely determined to find it.

Okay I am definitely onto something with the whole pizza sweatshirt thing! They are making a comeback. Look what Urban Outfitters has posted in their lookbook : look to the right

Inspirational Story

So this weekend, well Saturday, My little brother Connor got to scrimage during a college football game halftime. There is a kid on his team named Jackson who has a deformity in his legs. This makes it very hard for him to run or even to stand up for long periods of time. Even though Jackson has these issues and knows he will get very little playing time, and most likely never be as good as the other kids, he still dresses out for every single game and never misses a practice. Anyway during the scrimage the coaches decided to let Jackson play which he was super excited about. I got special access onto the field to take pictures for my brother and for Jackson's mom! I took so really cute pictures and would have probably gotten even better ones if I had a super long lense!  Jackson was very happy and actually did a pretty decent job! I'm still waiting for the day the coaches let him play and he makes a winning pass or something...because it will happen!! Anywayyy here are some pictures :

Here is Jackson going onto the field! I was really lucky that I got to stand as close as I did! It was pretty much just me and the coaches...I was on the ground most of the time though, and by the end of the game or scrimage or whatever my knees were all wet and gross....it was so worth it though...I got some really nice pictures.
This is the team huddling up before the scrimmage! Below is my brother Connor after the game! I took so many pictures....I'm sure that by this picture he was sick of it. After the game though we went to the Wawa across the street (the busiest Wawa in the world according to studies) and got oreo shakes on the 'regular thickness setting'
